I can upload a bunch at once now, so have them all. These pictures were taken from 8/4 to 8/10.
Killington ski resort/Mountain
Top of Killington
Inn at the long trail, where the AT and LT split.
private shelter, maintained for hikers
Is this the most Vermont thing?
Maple tapping tubes
Sodas left in a bucket near a road crossing
Hexagonal Privy, with a screen. 10/10. The old shelter fell down, but they saved the privy and moved it to the new shelter.
One of the best trail magic stops. a house was right off the trail at one of the town crossings, and gave us breakfast and had puppies.
Crossing the Connecticut river into Hanover, New Hampshire
Odie's Bus, a real trail angel. He runs the AT hiker yearbook and drives along the trail giving rides and meeting hikers. The mural on his bus had just been painted by Paintsplash, who I got to meet.
Not sure if this was a blaze or a countries flag
Resting after the climb. I took a nap up here too
The Green House let a few of us camp for free in their yard.
They had a 9 pound pizza challenge. If two people can finish it in an hour then its free.
Obi Wan crossing on a tree
AT: "I heard you like rocks"
The most dangerous descent on the whole trail was climbing down from Moosilauke. Everything was wet and slippery, and it was a very steep angle. the picture above is taken looking down. There was a beautiful waterfall to the side.
Nice of them to warn us after we've already climbed down
The Kinsmans had less of a view, but it was an incredible climb.
Lonesome Lake Hut
Flume Visitor Center, from here I went into the town of Lincoln/N Woodstock
